How to lead a team in uncertain times

In unsure times such as these and especially with the need for leaders to lead remote teams, here are a few ways leaders can continue to be engaging and supportive:

  1. Communicate as much as you can: Proactively communicate with your team to keep them updated with the latest information
  2. Be compassionate: Offer your team support and understanding asking if they need any specific arrangements that you can help them with.
  3. Boost morale and keep your team connected: Start an informal teams channel and chat about topics outside of work, just like you would do at the office
  4. Help your team understand priorities: Your team may have less context to understand what should be prioritized. Make sure you are on the same page.
